Shaun Kelly: I fell in love with this quaint rustic barn in Berrien Springs, MI after getting a tour of the venue and property by the venue manager, Susan Fenner. We started discussing doing a stylized shoot and then I started talking to Michelle Nikitaras from AKM Events.

Michelle Nikitaras: When Shaun asked me to be a part of this lovely shoot, I jumped at the opportunity. I LOVE FALL and this gorgeous rustic venue was an ideal playground! This vineyard is the perfect intimate setting for any event.  Autumn was definitely on the menu for our shoot so we did it up, choosing gorgeous reds and oranges throughout including fall floral and up-lighting in a rusty color.

The stationery had the right amount of rustic beauty with a touch of modern flair. Wooden planks and gold accents were all around, even on the dessert table which included popcorn, smores and wedding cake with vintage details. The vintage style wedding gown fit the bride like a glove and beautiful autumn floral and decor accented it perfectly.  The bridesmaid dress was a lovely shade of red to go along with our theme. Since we were going with deeper colors, we wanted the ladies to have a very dramatic look with smokey eyes and dark lip. The ladies certainly looked amazing and their hair and makeup were flawless.  Add a few pieces of stunning jewelry and hair accessories to complete the style and I would say this shoot was a success.  Oh, and we can’t forget the live entertainment to set the mood!
