Shadowland on Silver Beach – Rebecca and Walt loved the idea of a vintage inspired wedding. After stumbling on the rich history of St. Joseph, MI, specifically the Silver Beach Amusement Park, they knew Shadowland Ballroom was the venue for them. The Ballroom is housed in the same building as the Silver Beach Carousel, so a carnival theme was a no-brainer. Utilizing Rebecca’s background as an art teacher, she DIY’d just about every centerpiece and piece of décor in the room. From the hand-built ticket booth that housed their escort cards, to decoupaged glass votives for centerpieces, to Walt designing a vintage inspired ice cream cart card box, everything was a throwback to another era. Renting the Silver Beach Carousel also allowed for carnival treats like popcorn and cotton candy to be served and the night ended with Chicago and Carolina style hot dogs being the final treat for the guests to enjoy.
