Bryan and Tori were married at the University of Notre Dame’s Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Being graduates of the University, I would imagine they dreamt of having their wedding there for quite some time. I know I would, if I was a Notre Dame graduate. They had an early day since their ceremony started at 11 A.M. at the Basilica, so there wasn’t a lot of getting ready, but we made up for it after the ceremony. I love to photograph Notre Dame weddings because the campus and the Basilica are so gorgeous, but mostly because I get to take them for a visual walk through memory lane. Many want to go to places of meaning for them and in doing so, I tend to hear about special moments they had while attending Notre Dame. This was also my first time at St. Mary’s. Tori’s face lit-up when we arrived on the bridge at the campus. I could tell it made her so happy, which then made me happy.
Creating moments my clients have dreamed of for months or years has a very special reward involved. The weather was gorgeous, the couple was beautiful and they had donuts as their “cake.” Anyone who knows me can attest for my love of those sweet, round pastries. It was a day I will not soon forget, and I think Bryan and Tori would say the same.
