The Embassy Suites South Bend is a one-stop shop for anyone looking for a wedding venue. We have accommodations for everything from rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, reception after-parties, farewell breakfasts, and room blocks. As a new build part of Eddy Street Commons, we have sweeping views of the University of Notre Dame. Our hotel has traditional spaces (our Champion Ballroom) and unique places (The Podium – our rooftop amenity deck) sure to make a lasting impression. Let us do all of the work, so you can spend your wedding weekend enjoying yourselves.
What inspires you in the work that you do?
I have always enjoyed planning and hosting events. There is something rewarding about creating an atmosphere where people feel happy and relaxed. I love helping newly engaged couples navigate through the planning process because every wedding is as unique as the couple. It is a privilege to get to know my happy couples and an honor to be a small part of their wedding day.
Why might a couple getting married want to look into having their reception at Embassy Suites South Bend?
Location, location, location! We are centrally located, less than a mile from the Basilica and a short drive from downtown South Bend. Our Champion Ballroom is the perfect blank canvas for any wedding style, with beautiful neutral colors and a design aesthetic where traditional meets modern. It is tucked away on the ground level of our hotel, providing privacy and easy access. We also have outdoor spaces available to create memorable experiences.
Do you have any advice for engaged couples to make there planning go seamlessly?
The best advice I received was – anything not done by the night of the rehearsal dinner should be scrapped. After spending so many months or years planning all of the details, the night before the wedding should be the celebration of all of the planning coming to an end. Enjoy that time with your future spouse and close family and friends. Some other advice I like to share is “use all of your favors.” We have all helped a friend move or driven a family member to the airport, your wedding is the best time to cash in those favors.
