When Mackenzie and Joe and I had our first meeting, I knew right away what was important to them. This was an event full of sentiment and special meanings. From their venue, a Lakefront property named after the Bride, “Lake Mack,” to all of their choices! Their first request was to have all of their favorite foods!  Dinner from Bruno’s per Bacco, appetizers from Great Wall and Ice Cream from Vanilla Bean – ending with popcorn from the Dutch Kernel…all of their favorites to share with their favorite people! 

As a planner, we encountered many logistical challenges that came with this event. It was basically a blank lot and we had to bring everything in, including electricity, restrooms, and heat. The morning of the wedding was very cold for October with rain and 50 mph wind gusts. We would set up and the winds would blow everything around. But with an incredible staff and talented vendor team, we got the tent, tables and chairs, rentals, décor, catering and ceremony site all set up! We even had the hanging lanterns, lights and floral installations all placed and looking beautiful for Mack and Joe to walk down the aisle. CUE the SUNSHINE! Yep, just in time the sun came out and shined down on this beautiful Couple! 

It was a stunning day, and their guests danced the night away! Then the newlyweds whisked off to their honeymoon and their Happily Ever After!
