Periwinkle Paradise

Spring is finally here, and wedding season is in full bloom! We love when brides incorporate the Pantone Color of the Year into their wedding color palette and this year’s famous color is Very Peri! Periwinkle is a perfect mixture of blues and purples all mixed into one and ideal for springtime weddings!

Snapdragon Designs created the most amazing periwinkle-inspired wedding. We loved how she incorporated pastel colors along with bold and bright hues in her floral centerpieces and bouquet.

The ceremonial arch that Snapdragon designed feels like it came from a fairy garden! It was simply whimsical with wood branches and garden roses peeking through the greenery. The flowers that she used were Delphinium, Anemones, Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Sweet Peas, Scabiosa, Veronica, Spray Roses, and her famous Snapdragons.

The tablescape décor was provided by AAYS Event Rentals. The floral dishes were stunning and gave off a European ambiance and complemented the wood chargers. The copper flatware popped against the light blue linens.

B Graves Photography is such a joy to be around! We loved spending time with her and seeing her work. Her photos are light, airy, and crisp. She captures all the small details and finds the most amazing locations to photograph. She is a photographer that you will want to book in advance!

If you are looking at having an early spring wedding, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel South Bend is the perfect spot to have it! They have several ballrooms to accommodate you and your guests, an atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows, and an on-site chef that prepares the most delicious food. For this stylized shoot he created Chicken Caprese, Roasted Chicken with Mango Chutney, and Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce.

Another perk of having your wedding at a hotel, your out-of-town guests have a place to stay without having to travel to and from your wedding. DoubleTree has a restaurant and a coffee shop inside and is within walking distance to downtown entertainment! And only a few minutes away from Notre Dame.

Our model, Leah Lynch, looked stunning in a spaghetti strap, sweetheart neckline gown from Simply Yours Bridal & Formal Wear! The beaded bodice that flowed into the skirt of the dress is beautiful. The style of the gown matched perfectly with the whimsical theme of this shoot.

Salon J did Leah’s hair and makeup. We loved how they swept the hair to one side with a loose braid and added in a few pieces of floral. Her makeup was immaculate with a rosy-colored shadow and light pink lips. Leah looked like a beautiful fairy herself.

For a one-of-a-kind cake that will make a statement at your wedding, look no further than Sweet-Em’s Cake Shoppe! They designed and baked a light blue cake with intricate lace designs at the bottom of each tier. Snapdragon Designs added in pops of color on the cake with her floral as well. With both combined, this cake was absolutely breathtaking!
