Greece Island Hopping
What sounds better than being whisked away from your big day to island hopping some of the 277 inhabited islands in Greece? We suggest flying into Athens (crossing the Acropolis and Parthenon off the bucket list) before a quick 45-minute flight to Santorini. Call the Canaves Oia Suites home for a few nights and savor the breathtaking caldera sunset views from your suite. Indulge in a couples massage with Canaves “Spa with a View” or cruise around Santorini at sunset with one of the resorts twelve catamarans. Hop over to Mykonos for the last few nights (think whitewashed walls with blue doors) and relish in Greek cuisine – don’t skip out on the watermelon and feta salad!
Maui, Hawaii
A classic option – but Maui never disappoints! Count me in at a destination that doesn’t allow billboards because the scenery is just that beautiful. The adventures are endless! Catch some whale watching (December-April), taste some island-fresh fish at Mama’s Fish House, sip pineapple wine at Tedeshi Winery, or experience a traditional luau. Wake up early to drive up Mount Haleakala and experience the sunrise from the top of a volcano. Rest your head at Andaz Maui and experience luxury in the most non-traditional sense. You will have plenty of time to experience the resorts five onsite restaurants that showcase local farmers and the best of Maui’s unique neighborhoods. After long days of exploring, the Andaz invites you to enjoy five pools, including three ocean facing cascading infinity pools.
Turks & Caicos
So many destinations wish they could have the white powdery sand and turquoise water, but Turks & Caicos takes the cake! My favorite parts of Turks & Caicos are underwater – if you’re a watersports couple, this is for you. Endless options of paddleboarding, snorkeling, world-class fishing, kitesurfing and more are at your fingertips. Grab some beach grub at Somewhere Café and Lounge or test out the local dish, conch fritters, at Da Conch Shack. Want to combine puppies and honeymoons? Who doesn’t?! Potcakes Place allows tourists to socialize their fostered dogs on the beach for the day. You can even bring one home to love forever as the ultimate souvenir. Located on 11 acres of immaculate beach, Grace Bay Resort is the perfect retreat to the fun-loving island activities. Try out the resort’s infinity bar, the Caribbean’s longest bar, before your romantic candlelit dinner on the beach.
