Describe Your Wedding Day Vision 

Our overall shared wedding vision was “industrial meets overgrown enchanted garden.” We opted for a venue that had a masculine feel and softened it with candlelight and fresh florals. To incorporate our relationship, we added touches of how we met and our favorite things to do together through the guest book and late night snack. We left our ceremony venue untouched, so that every time we attend mass, the church looks just like it had on our most special day. When we arrived at our reception venue we were blown away by how well the vision in our minds translated to the decor! Merry Me Events even surprised us by creating the lounge of our dreams for added soft seating near the dance floor. It was such a sweet way to make sure our older guests had somewhere comfortable to sit, while feeling like they were still involved. Elegant touches of gold were spread throughout the decor, making our most important items stand out in white gold and silver: our wedding bands and my grandparent’s silver cake forks. 

Describe your Wedding Day 

I will never forget hearing the church bells, knowing that was my signal to line up and begin the walk down the aisle towards my future husband. I have never felt more beautiful in my life than that day, looking ahead and seeing Andrew waiting for me at the end of the aisle. We couldn’t stop crying the entire ceremony because we were so overwhelmed by how many people came and truly have never felt so loved and celebrated! We would not have been able to create such a beautiful, special day without the support and help of our amazing parents and the staff at Merry Me! 

Advice to Engaged Couples 

Get a wedding planner and choose an indoor wedding venue with all inclusive packages! Choosing The Armory meant there was a lot of convenience with our rentals because we didn’t need to get things like tables and chairs, giving us more money in our pockets to spend on food, florals, and the bar. On a day that was one of the hottest, entering into a venue with ac and a roof over our heads, meant that all of our guests were comfortable, giving us peace of mind. Having an ENTIRE team of designers attend my wedding meant that there was no detail forgotten. Not to mention, we were able to book our first choice photographer and DJ, who also helped make sure we got every picture we wanted, every song played, and helped to keep our timeline running smoothly. We can’t say thank you enough to Cher and all of the Merry Me team, Megan Mars and all of the Navarre staff, Cat and Megan (our amazing photographers), Mya (my makeup artist) for making me feel more beautiful than I ever have, and Derald (our dj) for tearing up that dance floor!
