Sweet Em’s Cake Shoppe – I’m always excited and count it a privilege when a couple entrusts me to create the wedding cake for the biggest day of their lives. It was apparent from the first meeting I had with Kim and her Mom that this wedding was about making dreams come true. Kim and Josh had a clear vision of what they wanted for their wedding day. Everything was well thought out, from the choice of Swan Lake Resort for the ceremony and reception to the cake design that was hand sketched by the bride herself. It was a joy creating the wedding cake for this couple. We were able to provide a gluten free cake for Kim so she could still enjoy the cake cutting tradition at the reception. They were focused yet flexible which made it a fun experience and extremely rewarding to see the envisioned cake become reality. The cake looked stunning at the venue with the spotlight catching the sparkle of the crystal embellishments nestled among the gumpaste flowers. Everything at the reception fit together perfectly, from the gorgeous floral tablescapes assembled by Charlotte’s Bouquets to the elegant place settings and enchanting lighting of Swan Lake. It was the little touches that made this wedding stand out. It was truly a wedding that reflected their lives, love and family.
